Heavy rain tonight and Saturday

Where: BC North Peace River

When: Tonight through Saturday.

Rainfall amount: 40 to 50 mm.

Remarks:
An area of low pressure will develop over northeastern BC producing a narrow band of heavy rain. The highest rainfall amounts will occur in the vicinity of the Rocky mountains and embedded thunderstorms. The rain will begin early this evening, then ease by early Saturday evening.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
