Wednesday, February 24, 2016, 8:26 AM - Powerful storms spawned tornadoes that ripped through the southern United States, killing at least three people and injuring several others.
Southern Louisiana and Mississippi were especially hard-it, with dozens of homes and businesses destroyed.
Some 27 tornadoes were reported in five states, from Louisiana to Georgia and the Florida Panhandle, with several confirmed by the National Weather Service.
