Atlantic Canada

  • Maritimes: An above seasonal day ahead for the Maritimes after a snowstorm dumped over 50 cm in parts Friday through Saturday. As a clipper moves through northeastern Quebec, warm air is expected to push through the Maritimes, bumping temperatures above seasonal.
  • Newfoundland: Clipper forecast to bring flurries to western Newfoundland Sunday. Up to 10 cm can be expected for the region, while St. John’s could see a light dusting. Wind gusts could also reach 60 km/h.

Ontario and Quebec

  • Ontario: A system is expected to push into southern Ontario Monday which will stick around until Wednesday, bringing 5 cm of snow to most parts of the region with locally higher amounts northwest of the Greater Toronto Area. Up to 15 cm is possible in the Nickel Belt. The system looks to depart midweek.
  • Quebec: Mainly cloudy skies Sunday with seasonal temperatures with a daytime high of minus 5oC in Montreal. There is a chance of snow showers by midweek for the area.

Western Canada

  • Prairies: A clipper continues to bring snow to Manitoba with accumulations of 5 to 10 cm for Winnipeg and upwards of 15 cm in northern portions of the province. Temperatures look to stay above seasonal for places like Edmonton, Calgary and Regina for the next several days. Meanwhile, Manitoba looks to fall on the cooler side of the ridge with a nearly 40 degree contrast between southern Alberta and Manitoba by Monday.
  • British Columbia: Avalanche risk remains high for Banff and Whistler. Temperatures hover around seasonal Sunday for B.C. Cloudy with slight chance of showers for the South Coast.
