Saturday, August 29, 2015, 3:07 PM - One of England’s latest architectural prospects takes ‘fear of heights’ to a whole new level.
As part of a residential development along the river Thames, London’s “sky pool” will be 25 m long and 3 m deep, suspended between two apartment blocks, 10 storeys above the ground.
Current plans call for the pool's surrounding walls to measure 20 cm in thickness -- comparable to that of the CN Tower’s glass floor, which is 6.35 cm thick, CBC reports.

Post-development the pool would act as a bridge, bordered by a sidewalk connecting the two apartment buildings on either side. Underneath, swimmers will have a view of Embassy Gardens’ private grounds.

The towers suspending the pool are part of a large complex including 2,000 luxury apartments, The Guardian reports.
Prices per unit will start at £600,000 or $1.2 million. Construction will begin this summer, and developers anticipate the pool's completion by 2018.
