Heavy rain this afternoon and Saturday

Where: BC North Peace River and southern Fort Nelson regions.

When: Today through Saturday.

Rainfall amount: 40 to 50 mm.

Remarks:
A narrow band of heavy rain will spread throughout the southern Fort Nelson region this afternoon and move into the North BC Peace River region this evening. The band will give occasionally heavy rain especially near embedded thunderstorms and near the Rocky Mountains. As the band moves southward, rain will ease Saturday morning in the southern Fort Nelson region and ease by early Saturday evening elsewhere.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
