Recommended Action
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.

* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5to 7 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk,dangerous rip currents.* WHERE...In Alabama, Baldwin Coastal County. In Florida,Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and Okaloosa CoastalCounties.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 PM CDT thisevening. For the High Rip Current Risk, through late Fridaynight.* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions andlocalized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the bestswimmers away from shore into deeper water.
