Description

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy hasdeclared an Air Quality Advisory for Friday, June 21st for elevatedlevels of ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy forSensitive Groups range.The advisory is in effect for the following Michigan counties...St. Clair...Livingston...Oakland...Macomb...Washtenaw...Wayne andMonroe.It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdooractivities, especially those with respiratory diseases such asasthma. People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which canlead to ozone formation. These activities include: refuelingvehicles or topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawnequipment, using charcoal lighter fluid.Positive activities include: driving less, telecommuting, walkingor bike riding, delaying or combining errands, using water-basedpaints.For further information, please see EPAs Air Now site forup-to-date air quality data:https://www.airnow.gov/
