How to make 'four cents bread' over a campfire

'Four cents bread' is a simple and delicious tradition of Mi’Kmaq culture

If your power goes out and it'll be a while, you may resort to cooking over an open flame. The first thing that comes to mind might be sausages, or there's always the classic marshmallow roast. But did you know you can easily cook up some delicious fresh bread?

I recently took part in an Eskasoni cultural journey to learn more about Mi'kmaq culture. That's where I found about 'four cents bread', named because it's inexpensive and made with simple ingredients. All you need is flour, baking powder, a little salt and water.
