A little bit of stunt flying was seen over Peru.

A plane that departed in Lima, Peru took an interesting 3-hour flight.

Check out its path below:

If you measure the "airplane", it's about 250 km long says Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton, with a wind span of about 200 kilometres.

Creating such a symmetrical shape can be difficult -- especially in flight, where air turbulence and windy conditions can throw the pilot off course.

Kudos to the airline and the pilots for this tricky manoeuvring!
