Cottage-bound? Porter now offers Toronto-Muskoka flights

Cottage goers will have one more option to head to their favourite lake starting this summer.

If you’re heading to Muskoka Region this summer, you might want to consider taking a plane to avoid traffic congestion on Ontario’s highways.

Starting in June, Porter Airlines will be offering twice weekly flights (Mondays and Thursdays) to Muskoka, with planes departing Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and arriving at Muskoka Airport.

The service, which will be offered from June 27 to Sept. 3, will provide flights to Muskoka at 9:20 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, respectively, while trips back to Toronto will leave at 10:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, respectively.

During long weekends, flights will depart Tuesdays instead of Mondays.
