Terrifying three-eyed python found in Australia, see it here
A carpet python with three functioning eyes was recently found on a highway near Darwin in northern Australia.
“The three-eyed snake warns The Dry is coming!” joked the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Service in one of their social media posts, referencing the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.

This unusual snake was photographed by the wildlife agency, who states that x-rays show that this snake has a single skull with an extra eye socket.
This type of snake (Morelia spilota) is commonly found in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea, and can reach between 2 to 4 meters (6.6 to 13.1 feet) in length and can weigh up to 15 kilograms (33 pounds).

The snake was approximately 40 centimetres long and three months old when it was found, and died shortly after being captured. The rangers report that the deformity was a rare and natural occurrence and made it challenging for the snake to feed.
