Scottish ski resorts see best conditions in years, and nobody can enjoy them

Some of Scotland's ski resorts are experiencing some of their best winter conditions in years but, in a cruel twist of fate, nobody can enjoy them thanks to COVID-19 closures.
Cairngorm Mountain is experiencing high-quality powder, and Glencoe Mountain has seen exceptional accumulation following weeks of snowfall, the BBC reports.
All of mainland Scotland is in lockdown to stop the spread of COVID-19, and that includes business closures.
Ski resorts are awaiting word from the government about when they can re-open. Local ski resorts have skeleton staff on location, who are ensuring the slopes will be ready for the public once officials give the all-clear.

SNOWY WINTER
Recent snowfall across Scotland has been significant and, outside of ski country, disruptive.
Drifts towering up to 3 metres following weeks of snowfall have contributed to periods of reduced visibility.
More snow is expected through the weekend and into next week, with some areas forecast to receive an additional 50 centimetres.
