Canadian Red Cross launches appeal to help people impacted by Hurricane Beryl

Canadians can help Beryl victims by donating to the Canadian Red Cross.

Hurricane Beryl continues to churn through the Caribbean with dangerous wind speeds, damaging infrastructure, homes, and livelihoods in several communities.

Significant flooding, power outages, and communication disruptions are widespread in the hardest-hit areas.

In response to the crisis, the Canadian Red Cross has launched an appeal to provide aid to those most affected.

Red Cross Appeal: Hurricane Beryl

"Money raised will enable the Red Cross to provide immediate relief, support recovery efforts, and resilience and preparedness activities for future events," the organization says in a statement.

"The activities and areas impacted may evolve based on emerging needs and compounding future events."

Canadians looking to support the Hurricane Beryl Appeal can contribute online at redcross.ca or by calling 1-800-418-1111.
