A face in the cosmos?

What do you see when you look into this burst of colour in the cosmos?

NASA calls this the "Eskimo Nebula," discovered in 1787 by astronomer William Herschel. 

They reckoned it looked like a person's head surrounded by a parka.

The agency released the image last week, imaged in x-rays, with the areas of brightest pink representing x-rays emitted by hot gas near the centre.

The gas is made up of material ejected from a star over the last 10,000 years. It's around 3,000 light years away from Earth.
