An angry beaver created quite the stir in Miramichi Tuesday by causing traffic delays and chasing residents.
Cab driver Jim O'Neill was in the area when he noticed a man being chased off King George Highway.
He pulled over and, upon spotting the beaver, started snapping pictures.

O'Neil tells the CBC he got about 2.5 metres away before the critter turned on him.
It's believed the beaver was displaced by recent flooding in the area.

Sgt. Ed Arbeau of the Miramichi police told the CBC that while his department deals with animals on a daily basis, this was a first.
Officials kept a watchful eye on the beaver until it eventually moved out of the area.
While they may look cute and cuddly, beavers can be quite aggressive.
Last May a booming beaver population led to a rash of attacks on residents in Belarus.
One of the most serious cases occurred when a 60 year-old fisherman attempted to photograph a beaver at Lake Shestakovskoye.
Witnesses say the large rodent bit the man on the leg, severing an artery that caused him to bleed to death.
