Earthquake rattles Canada's Far North

A Magnitude 4.7 Earthquake struck in the Arctic Ocean early Sunday, at a depth of around 50 km, 250 km away from the Northwest Territories hamlet of Tuktoyuktuk.
The United States Geological Survey initially rated the quake at Magnitude-5.1 before revising the reading down to M4.7.
There have been no immediate reports of damage.

Canada's sparsely populated far north is no stranger to Earthquakes, despite not often making headlines for them.
The largest earthquake north of the Arctic Circle was a powerful Magnitude-7.3 tremor, in Baffin Bay in 1933. An offshore quake, it caused no damage, with the nearest community being more than 200 km away.
More recently, the Northwest Territories were rattled first by an M6.6 quake in October 1985, and an M6.9 in December the same year.
That earthquake was felt as far away as Saskatchewan and Alberta.
