"This is what happened to my husband and his car today," McCormack says in a post directed toward Tesla.
"No accident, out of the blue, in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd. Thank you to the kind couple who flagged him down and told him to pull over. And thank god my three little girls weren’t in the car with him."
McCormack is married to director Michael Morris. He was not injured in the fire.

Firefighters were called to the scene to put out the fire.
According to the Associated Press, Tesla says the incident is "an extraordinarily unusual occurrence" and is investigating.
Last month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company was in the midst of a major re-organization, following a slew of production problems, senior staff departures and recent electric car crashes.
