MUST SEE: Dog rescues drowning baby bird

Friday, July 11, 2014, 10:18 AM - Forget man's best friend, this heroic dog saved a baby bird that somehow got stranded in a lake and would have likely drowned otherwise.
"After spotting a distressed baby bird struggling to stay afloat, this hero dog named Jax jumped into the water and managed to save the day after grabbing a hold of the little guy," reads the video description on YouTube. "Luckily he ended up being okay thanks to Jax!"

According to the owner, the baby bird was rescued without injury and was found thriving with its siblings and mother three days later.
"I hunt with my dog but it was really cool to see that he knew the difference between a bird in distress and a bird that he is hunting," said the owner in an online report.
