Giant bird migration caught on weather radar

Monday, April 30, 2018, 9:52 AM - Earlier this month, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas picked up northward-moving green blips on its radar.
It wasn't wind, or rain or snow -- but rather, birds.

"What's that on radar?" The NWS said in a Tweet.
"Winds are generally out of the northwest (blowing towards the southeast) across the area, so what's that moving northward on the radar scopes? These light returns aren't rain or clouds, but birds continuing their northward migration!"
Now that cold weather is winding down, many bird species are heading north for the summer.

If you look up over the next few weeks, you might be lucky enough to see a migration in person.
