Every day, Rob Dekany has been setting up a sign on a flooded street in Nauwigewauk and ferrying 100 to 200 people a day back and forth for free. He tells Weather Network reporter Nathan Coleman he starts around 6 a.m. and finishes his day at 10 p.m., with a five-hour break in the afternoon.
It's not uncommon for streets to flood in this area during the spring, but Rob says the depth of the current floods makes the area unpassable by foot.
He tells Nathan Coleman, a reporter with The Weather Network, that some pockets are 4 metres deep and the water is clogged with debris.
