A yellow glacier on Nunavut's Ellesmere Island serves as the testing ground for a NASA mission to Jupiter's moon, Europa.
According to the CBC, the unique glacier obtained its colour due to a sulphur spring. The island was discovered approximately 25 years ago by Steve Grasby and Benoit Beauchamp.

Europa is known among scientists as one of the solar system's most likely to host extraterrestrial life. "You have everything -- energy, you have water, probably an ocean of similar salinity to that on Earth. You have all the basics you need." geoscientist Steve Grasby says in an interview with the CBC.
