Must see: B.C. wildfires turn sky terrifying shade of orange

Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 1:38 PM - According to the calendar, this time of year should see sunset in Prince George, British Columbia, coming around 8:45 p.m. But the sky has had other ideas this week, courtesy of B.C.'s raging wildfires.
The sky took on a creepy orange glow through the late afternoon on Tuesday; in some places, like in the video above, the sunshine was completely blotted out for a time by thick smoke and ash in the air. Others reported it looked 'like Mars' as ash swirled through the sepia-tinted sky.
Orange skies and smokey conditions have been reported in parts of Alberta as well.
