A KMPG survey of auto firm executives published in Business Green finds that 90 per cent of executives surveyed expect the electric vehicle (EV) to dominate by 2025, and 74 per cent believe that most car owners today won't want to own a vehicle in the near future.
Of all those surveyed, 93 per cent said they plan to invest in EVs in the next five years.

The survey comes at an interesting time in EV innovation, with the next stage of Tesla Motors' Model 3 reveal set to take place early on in 2017, and the release of the Model 3's top contender, the Chevrolet Bolt.
Tesla's Model 3 is renowned for being the more affordable option of the automaker company's luxury EV line-up, with almost 400,000 buyers having already desposited $1,000 to wait in line for the first round off the production line-up.
The Bolt, recently named winner of the North American Car of the Year, is the first mass-market, U.S.-made EV, as its beating Tesla's Model 3 to production. The Bolt's range of 383 km is double that of most EVs -- aside from the upcoming Model 3, which boasts a range of 345 km per charge.
