Monday, June 25, 2018, 1:10 PM - A dust devil formed near Chelsey van Staveren's farm outside of Griffin, Sask. Saturday.
While that's nothing out of the ordinary in the Prairies during the summer, the formation then connected with a swirling storm cloud and developed into a landspout tornado.
"We're watching it and it just keeps getting higher and higher and higher and we're like, 'OK, this is not a normal dust devil,'" van Staveren told the CBC.
"The funnel kind of came down from the sky and it joined and we were like 'Oh my God.'"

Van Stavern said it's the first time she's seen this type of formation in the area.
Environment Canada has given the twister a preliminary "EF0" rating. It's the weakest rating on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
Landspouts are typically weak and cause minimal damage, but can still be dangerous as they have the ability to topple trees and power lines.
