VIDEOS: Snow plow tears down Route 20 in PEI while a snowboarder tackles the streets of Nova Scotia

Thursday, March 19, 2015, 4:32 PM - It's a battle to the death in two soon-to-be-viral videos from the east coast. Watch as a massive snow plow takes on PEI's Route 20 after two late-season storms hit the area. Meanwhile, Adrian McLean of Nova Scotia makes the most of the province's snow-laden streets.

The snow plow video was uploaded by Paul Montgomery -- and it serves as a perfect example of the snowy conditions Atlantic Canada has had to contend with this year.

According to McLean, this is how he "deals with snow storms":

PEI, and the rest of eastern Canada, continues to dig out from two late-season storms that hit the area recently. More than 40 cm of snow fell in parts of the Maritimes over the weekend, while nearly every region struggled with blowing snow and wind gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour.

That was followed by another system that moved in between Tuesday and Thursday, dumping even more snow on the ground.

And it isn't over yet: 

Another storm is expected to hit the area Saturday into Sunday, bringing a potential mix of rain and snow.

"Energy over the U.S. Midwest, Gulf moisture and a system over Ontario will merge together to form a system for the Maritimes Saturday and Newfoundland Sunday," says Weather Network meteorologist Kelly Sonnenburg.

"This time, milder air will bring mixing and rain. Snowfall totals look to be much less than what we've seen with the previous systems, due to warmer temperatures."

The exact timing and precipitation totals haven't been finalized yet, so check back for updates.
