Sunday, May 10, 2015, 4:47 PM - Wildlife spectators in Gardiner, Montana got a little too close for comfort.

A family of black bears started running towards the tourists in Yellowstone National Park. 

It is advised for people to stay at least 100 yards away from a bear, according to the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission. It's never a good idea to run away because it triggers a predator response, officials noted.

"It serves as a reminder that wildlife can be unpredictable. For your safety and theirs, respect wildlife and give them room to roam," the Commission posted on Facebook.

"View and photograph from established observation areas. Stay a safe distance to reduce stress on wildlife. Luckily, no one was hurt and these bears made it safely back to the forest."
