Zoos engage in EPIC cuteness battle, photos melt all hearts

Thursday, January 26, 2017, 2:45 PM - If you are feeling the post-holiday winter blues, these photos will surely brighten your day.
The Smithsonian's National Zoo started a friendly Twitter Battle on Wednesday. It all began with staff announcing the arrival of a grey seal pup.
Then other zoos joined in on the fun, claiming they had cuter animals.
It wasn't long before the #cuteanimaltweetoff hashtag started trending across the U.S., Canada and U.K.

"It looks like the #cuteanimaltweetoff might continue fur-ever and we're not mad about it so here's a paw-sitively precious lion cub #tbt," Maryland Zoo posted.
