Wild Parsnip

20171 views Calvin Hanson June 27, 2024 Cornwall, Ontario, CA Date shot: June 27, 2024

Wild Parsnip (also known as Poison Parsnip) is starting to flower at this time of year. With the recent rainstorms and warm temperatures, the plants are growing fast. The plants can grow more than five feet in height and they produce clusters of tiny yellow flowers along roadsides and fields. Although the plant looks pretty, Avoid getting the plant’s sap on your skin because combined with the sunlight it could cause uncomfortable burns and/or blisters.
