Thursday, July 16, 2015, 5:08 PM - In a move that would make Bruce Wayne proud, five-year-old Zavi Ahmed of East Sussex, England swooped in to rescue a little girl who was trapped inside a Volkswagen Beetle amid hot temperatures Wednesday.
Police were on the scene and unable to rescue one-year-old Iris Adamski.
Little Iris became trapped inside the car when the doors accidentally locked with the keys inside while her grandmother was loading the vehicle.
Rescuers smashed the car's rear window but weren't able to fit inside to open the door or grab hold of the keys.
Then Zavi, who had come check out the scene with his mother, offered to help.
Zavi then crawled through the window and got the keys, freeing the toddler.
Iris' grandfather John Penny told reporters "it really was a case of Batman to the rescue."
"That morning he decided he wanted to be dressed as Batman, I don't know why," Emma Ahmed, Zavi's mom, told the UK Mirror.
"My friend said he could go to Tesco and be a superhero and that's just what happened. We couldn't believe it. Of all the days for him to dress up and that happens."
Police say Iris was trapped in the car for approximately 45 minutes.
