Young seal returned to the water after wandering through downtown Halifax, N.S.

Friday, March 6, 2015, 1:01 PM - A young harbour seal has been returned to the water after it was found strolling through downtown Halifax, N.S.
Police on patrol in the Bishop's Landing section of the waterfront were flagged down Thursday at 12:30 a.m. by a woman who had seen the seal under a parked car.
Officers later found the seal moving through the middle of Lower Water Street. The animal was not injured.

They were able to wrap it in a blanket and took it to the water, where it swam away.
Harbour seals are one of the most common species off the coast of mainland Nova Scotia.
