Our week long IN FOCUS photography workshops cater to those who want to up their game and share the love of capturing images of our great country, its landscape, weather, flora and fauna. Led by some of our most accomplished community members we hope to provide amateur photographers of all levels the opportunity to improve their skills. Join us this week as night sky and aurora photographers Darlene and Theresa Tanner answer your questions and share tips and techniques to help you capture your next best shot!

ABOUT TEAM TANNER: Team Tanner, aka Darlene and Theresa Tanner, are central Alberta based aurora chasers who both work full time but use their spare time photographing the weather and in particular the northern lights. The fascination began 4 years ago when they got their first DSLR camera and they fell in love with the magic of the night sky, its spirituality and beauty. And living away from pollution of the big city lights makes it easier to for them to view and photograph their chosen subject. Darlene and Theresa will share stories of their best captures, some of their favourite settings and the ideal locations and conditions for aurora shooting and also useful tools they use to know when the aurora will be visible. They'll also be sharing some technical tips to help you with your own night sky captures.
