Saturday, June 18, 2016, 3:04 PM - As floodwaters continue to ravage northeastern B.C., a flood watch has been upgraded to a warning for streams in several areas including, Dawson Creek, where a bridge collapsed early Thursday.
Families have been forced to flee their homes, with the District of Chetwynd declaring a state of emergency Wednesday. Some places have seen over 100 mm of rain.
While another 10-20 mm is expected through Thursday, the heaviest rain has already fallen. Precipitation will gradually ease overnight, with a few showers expected Friday for the region.
Social media has lit up with dramatic images of washed out roads and bridges. Here are a few of them.
