Three simple steps from Red Cross to combat disasters

It's up to individual Canadians to prepare for the eventuality of one, and the Red Cross has plenty of tips for people wanting to get ready for the worst.

From knowing the risks and keeping an eye on official statements, to keeping a proper emergency kit with essentials and documents, to having a plan not only for yourself, but for your household, there's plenty you can do to not only keep yourself safe, but also to be well-placed to help your neighbours once the immediate crisis has passed.
