A “Common Gallinule” (a species that has very unique colouring characteristics) hides in the bulrushes which is its preferred habitat on June 21st. Luckily for me, not many reeds were interfering with capturing a nice clean photo of the bird, but a few minutes later the bird went farther into the thick bulrushes totally out of sight.
